Today we learned why Wisconsin Dells really is the "Waterpark Capital of America." Imagine Las Vegas, but with water park resorts instead of casinos and with an outdoors-y log cabin theme. Just as in Vegas, there's a strip which houses most of the attractions which also include stunt shows, jet boat tours, roller coasters, go karts, and more.

We started the day by unhooking the camper and driving to Noah's Ark, which bills itself "America's Largest Waterpark."
Our favorite ride was "Time Warp" which took you through twists and turns in darkness and at high speed. The most intimidating was "Black Anaconda" which started with an almost vertical drop and then used that speed to fling you through an upside down loop.
After Noah's Ark we got lunch at "Monk's," a local burger place which was as good as the reviews said it would be. Following that, we took a jet boat ride of the Wisconsin River "Dells," the area's original claim to fame. There are lots of Sandstone formations along the banks, some hollow inside that you can boat through. The tour also included some wild moves that got everyone soaked.
Next we drove through town and found something irresistible to me - a free large outdoor trampoline (tankte pa er under hoppen, Jojo, Nea, o Hedde!)
Finally we returned to the camper. We're staying at this campground a second night, a nice change from having to pack up every day.
Anyway, Wisconsin Dells is a great place and I hope we can come back some day. Next we'll head West toward either Iowa or Minnesota.
